[SOLVED]MIDI Editor: Problem deleting specific notes

I added a MIDI item and dragged a drum groove into it. Then right-clicked the item and selected Item Properties. I then changed the length to 2. Now I want to delete one of the duplicated notes in the second section and not the one in the first section, but I can't figure out how. Any way I select the single note will select all like notes in the track.

I did review several of Kenny's videos on editing but none involved duplicate sections such as this.

Here's a pic. The notes in question are circled in red. I want the second one gone.

You can't make the second one gone because it doesn't exist . . . it is really the first one that appears again because you have a repeating loop.

So to do what you want, split ('S') the midi track at bar 4. This means that the midi starting at bar 4 becomes a new loop, and the note can now be deleted without affecting what went on before.

Thanks gecko zzed. That did it :thumbs up:

That severs the connection quite nicely.

...mumblemumble..invisible loops.. mumblemumble.. :facepalm::laughings:
