I'm new to the recording game, and was wondering about plug-ins. Since I have no money/space/etc. for multiple amplifiers or drum sets, can reaper support any VST(i) plug ins?

I'd really like to try it with amplitube/gearbox and the like for guitars and EZDrummer/BFD and the like for drums. Will those run in reaper?

Again, I apologize if it's a dumb question and I'm wasting forum space and bandwidth

Yes, Reaper handles plugins really well...

    VST
    VSTi
    DirectX
    DXi
    ReWire for Reason
And also has JS plugins, and a sort of "scripting language" for you to write your own.

So it will support the ones you're asking about. I use EZDrummer myself.

Does AD have midi patterns like EZD? I have no midi interface yet so I need pre-made patterns. Hopefully, this problem will be fixed soon.
