Tempo change for .cel

I need help changing tempo to a loop file. When I insert a midi file into a session then need to put in the loop I need to make the tempos match. I can't seem to do it right. Can anyone help?

Do you know the tempo of the session?

To find the tempo of the session. Highlight a section of it. Then go VIEW-->DISPLAY TIME FORMAT-->EDIT TEMPO
Then press EXTRACT. This will tell you the tempo.

I can find the tempo of the session by doing the steps you suggested but it still seems that it is out of sync. Can you walk me through the steps? Tell me if this is right:

Open new session.
Insert midi.
Insert wave from file.

First you have to find out the tempo for loop. Where is it from??

To find the tempo highlight a section of it. Then go VIEW-->DISPLAY TIME FORMAT-->EDIT TEMPO
Then press EXTRACT. This will tell you the tempo of the loop wav file.

When you figured that out insert the midi file into the session. Right click on the midi file -->SET TEMPO-->CUSTOM-->TYPE IN THE TEMPO OF THE LOOP WAV FILE FROM BEFORE

They now should be in sync.

So
1.start session
2.insert wav loop file
3.find tempo
4.insert midi file
5.change tempo to match loop file
6.HAVE FUN!!
