Panning envelope? Help!

Last time I used a pan envelope in CEP, it was just a matter of clicking on the center line in a track and dragging it back and forth to pan l+r.
I just tried it again, and can't grab the line...
Was there a setting on I was unaware of last time??

Mountainmirrors,
here is a pic i borrowed from another thread

Just make sure you've got both of these buttons engaged; otherwise, that line in the middle that you're seeing is just the line in the middle, lol.

Yeh say you have a realtime effect, it could be anything not just reverb, you press the 'WET' button next to the pan and this allows to adjust the amount of effect is placed on the track compared to the dry original signal.

So if you had the 'WET' line all the way up on 100% you would only hear the effected signal. If you had it on 0% it would 100% dry so it would have no effects on it. This can be good if you only wanted to have a reverb during the chorus for example.

I think it doesn't matter which effect. They all should work.
All the wet/dry line does is adjust how much of the effect is placed in the track
