Okay, I've been checking out the new site for the past week or so, and it looks like it's gonna float. It looks like most of the talent from the Syntrillium site is migrating over there. It is so obviously superior to the Cool Edit (Adobe Audition) forum at Adobe, that there's no comparison.
The upside is that it's a group of very well-informed people who know each other and who know what they want. The downside is (small downside), it looks like the new site will require some financial support to continue to function. Access to the site is free, however.
