You're right, plus some threads are getting longer and really interesting and useful - wolfie got his/her problem solved, and I got a lot out of what evgueni had to say about processing digitally. (I wonder about Choy from Manila, and whether he ever got his/her problems sorted out.)
Also, the April edition of Electronic Musician compares six audio editors, one of which (the cheapest, along with one other) is CEP. It's a long, boring article, but in the end Cool Edit comes out well - the reviewers have a lot of good things to say about the program, and only Vegas Pro and Wavelab seemed interesting by comparison. But at those prices, I'll wait for the next Cool Edit upgrade.
