No, I don't know the answer to your question except in general terms, because this situation comes up again and again in different forms.
It's not CEP, it's your system that's causing the problem.
Things to look at: are you running any other programs at the same time as CEP? If so, shut them down when you run CEP. Culprits I've heard of in this department: the Windows clock in the taskbar, anti-virus programs. Also, what's the capacity of your system - RAM, disk space, processor speed?
