Cool Edit CD ROM conflict

I am using an IBM PIII 450, with a Layla card, and running CEP ver 1.0. My computer came with a Sony CD RW, and I later installed a second CD Rom for CD duplication.
My problem is CEP will only recognize my CD ROM drive, and it does not have an audio connection to my computer (my motherboard only had one plug for audio)
Is there anyway to select in CEP wich CD ROM it will use.....I would like it to use the CD RW drive...........

Thanks to all!!!!

When I put a CD in the CD RW drive CEP does not recognize that it is there ie: it does nothing.

I am trying to record tracks from my CD player to CEP direct.

I think you need to switch your CD-RW to Master (assuming its Slave now) and your CD_ROM to Slave(assuming its master)

Hey, Heat, we're dealing with two problems here, it seems:

* This probably isn't a Cool Edit problem, and you'd do much better posting this over in the Computer Recording and Soundcard forum.

But just to make sure:

* I think you have to be much clearer in the way you describe what you're trying to do and what the problem is. Can you describe exactly:

1 what you're trying to do with each of the drives

2 step by step the procedure you've taken with each?
