Can I run a 15-20 track session in CEP all tracks in 24/96 using a Quantum EIDE ULTRA-ATA/100 7200RPM FIREBALL?

I was gonna get a 10k rpm HD, but if this will do, I will get this....

    Thanks for any replies.....

CEP can handle it, but this isn't really a CEP question, is it? More of a computer question, and you'd probably get a much bigger response in the Computer Recording and Soundcard forum.. Just to check though - you're not talking about recording 15 -20 tracks simultaneously, are you? You're talking about a 15 or 20 track mix, right?

I'm talkin' about 20 tracks playing back together.

The comp I'm talking about is a 1 gig t-bird Athlon AMD with 256 meg of 133 ram. I posted here cuz I thought some CEP users are running a 7200 rpm (common) HD and using 24/96.

I will post this in the other forum too...maybe I'll get some more replies..

    Thanks for the help..

I have a song that uses 19 tracks and it is 9 minutes long and I only have a PIII600 and 128 megs of PC100 RAM, with a 7200 RPM drive. I would say you should be fine as frogs.
