Audio Driver In Use/ Error (AE 3.0) - I'm stumped!

Hi all,

I have been working on a song for a day or two in a 96k session. I am using a TASCAM US-122L ASIO interface with the latest drivers.

I tried to open my session today and I cannot playback or record. When I try, the computer makes loading sounds for about 3 seconds and then the error below comes up saying the driver is in use (see attachment).

After that I sometimes get an error (see attachment).

I'm, seriously, losing my mind and have been trying to figure out how to fix this for hours.

Any help is appreciated,

Chris

I'm sure you have already rebooted your pc.
See if you can open a new Audition session using your Tascam.
Uninstall/re-install the Tascam drivers.

I assume you use ASIO. Go to your playback devices (right click the speaker symbol in the system tray) and make sure the Tascam is not the default device. Windows might reserve it so it's unavailable for ASIO.
Also make sure there's no other software running that uses the Tascam, like a media player. Even when it's not playing anything at the moment, it might reserve the Tascam for itself.

These measures work for me when I get similar errors with AA 3.0 and ASIO4ALL.
