of recording multiple (different) tracks at the same time on Cool Edit Pro???

Anything I should think of??
 
yes, I have ever been experienced.

think of the same things you think of when recording one track, only a bunch of times at once.:)

Scad, the only thing you're limited by is the capacity of your computer - Cool Edit will take up to 64 tracks. One thing to be aware of when recording more than one track at a time is the difference in recording and playback levels. You cleverly set up individual track levels so they're up where they should be, and you record it without clipping, and then when you play it all back, there's distortion because the levels of the individual tracks are being summed. Some people think it adds about 3 dB per track. So you have to cut back the playback levels to avoid distortion.
 
think of a mix as if it were an exquisite three dimensional painting. The individual brush strokes are important, but pale in compasison to the overall IMAGE. Visualize this image in your mind, with color, placement, hue and shades all in order.
