unwanted blend of midi tracks with wav files

Hi! Is anybody could tell me why when I'recording a guitar track in cakewalk 7.0 I can ear the midi tracks in my wav file on playback. I want to ear midi tracks when I'm recording and I want to mute few tracks on playback but I can ear all the tracks that were audible when I did the recording...thoses damned tracks in my wav recording are going to drive me crazy !!! :-)
 
Good Idea, but I can't find the way to do this in the program. Maybe I'm limited with my hardware (AWE64 Gold, pentium 200).

Are you using the AWE64 synth for the midi tracks? In the windows volume control, under recording controls, make sure that it is not set to record the midi, this should solve your problem.

It was the recording option in the creative mixer!

Now it rocks!!!!
