strange Sonar2/triton midi problem

Hi:

I can record and playback midi form my triton to SONAR 2, but on channel 1, I can't hear what i'm playing. It records data, and i can playback, but I can't heaar what i'm recording.
All other channels (2-16) allow me to preview. Is there an "echo" setting that i'm missing? Local control is off.

There is an an echo setting..go to options>project>Midi In
and set echo to auto..all channels should be checked and I believe this is the default position.

Also..make sure that the track that you want to hear is ARMED to record on the channel (in this case 1). Make sure the Triton is set up to transmit on channel 1 and you have selected a program and ..you are in the sequencer mode..
