sonar 7.0 producer...midi keyboard help

Got a question... Lets say you start a new project and you have a couple of AUDIO tracks and some MIDI tracks. Well.. my keyboard is hookedup and it shows activity when I press a key. But, sounds stupid, how do I assign a synth to it?
 
You have to insert a synth for it to use.

(I'm not in front of Sonar so i'm hoping I get the menu names correct)

Go to the insert menu at the top of the screen. Scroll down to insert soft synth. Choose the synth plugin you want and click it. Load a sound patch in the plugin.

That should do it. If you don't have sound you will have to go to the track the synth is assigned to and choose the midi input and make sure it's set to the input your keyboard is plugged into.
