Sonar 2 crashes when I play midi

Hi,

hope you guys can help me out.
So I have this new soundcard, X Wave 3000, Soundblaster compatible, so it must be cakewalk friendly. I play the Tutorial 1
midi demo. At first it sounds great, instruments sound so real.
But then I get an Error msgsrv32, and then the system crashes.
I try it again but it crashes after a few seconds of playing time.
I have IRQ sharing between soundcard and another device.
Would changing PCI slots solve this? Also, I havent connected the
PC to Midi cable on the soundcard yet. Does this affect playback?
Please help me! I'm desperate to make Sonar work.

Thanks Teacher and John for the reply. I tried Re-installing
my OS and still haven't tested again. I'm still too nervous to try again. The series of crashes caused my computer to stop
shutting down, it won't. It just restarts over and over again.
Regarding updated drivers for the Xwave, I tried the ones from
company that owns Xwave, don't know if it's the latest.
But I have this feeling this is all caused by some hardware
incompatibility related to chipsets or soundchips. I'll try
asking the guys at Xwave or the company that owns it.
Thanks again.
