sample rate problem

A friend of mine recently loaded some songs from my roland vs-840 onto cakewalk to be burned onto cd. However, when getting ready to burn it down, it wouldn't work. Come to find out that the sample rate was at 48khz instead of 44.1khz. My question is: Is there any way to change/convert that sample rate after the fact so that it can be burned onto cd, changed to mp3 files, etc? just curious. I can remix my songs easily and load them at 44.1 but he will pretty much lose months and months of work.

Do you have SoundForge or Wavelab or some kind of two track editor? You can do it there. I'd imagine you can do it in Cakewalk too. I'll have to check and get back with you.

To change the bit depth (format) click [Tools][Change Audio format...] There is no way of resampling within CWPA. You will need an external editor to do a sample rate conversion.
