does anyone know of the effect of reversing a sound in cakewalk sonar 2.0 xl? also, does anyone know how to mess around with the tempos of a piece?

click on the tempo icon and change it.

For the effects, print them, and then choose "retrograde" i beleive.

Try it and see what happens. Edit>Audio>Reverse.

Also, Pre-verb sounds interesting too. Reverse your audio, apply Reverb, Bounce/clone the track and then Reverse it back again. Hey presto, Pre-verb. Much loved effect of Ozzie:)

The pre-verb is a pretty cool effect that I learned not too long ago. It's cool to do a long decaying delay on the reversed track and then reverse it again as well. pre-echo!!! It's awesome to do a repetitive phrase on a piano or guitar, reverse, apply long decaying (but maybe not too dense) reverb, clone the clip, reverse one of the clones and crossfade them. The effect is really cool... Is this reversed??!!... at the beginning it isn't, at the end it is... but the reverb at the beginning is reversed and at the end it isn't.... pretty sweet... then add a nice Aphex Twin-ish drum loop on top of that and you have something cool going ;)
