recording without a SUSTAIN PEDAL

Hello.

I use cakewalk 9.0 as my sequencer and an old yamaha PSR keyboard as my 'MIDI keyboard'. The problem is that I have no sustain pedal. This becomes problematic when I'm trying to record legato passages (especially piano parts).

Is there a way I can simulate a sustain pedal? Or do I have to just go out and buy one?

Thanks.

I'm sure there's a sustain written in CAL floating around somewhere, or you could draw the envelopes in. But heck, a pedal is $15?!?!

You should be able to record sustain events with virtual piano... space bar turns the sustain pedal on and off, and I think holding shift does the same.
