Project 5v2 and Roland Gr33

Can anyone help? I've connected my Gr33 guitar synth to Project 5 successfully-all of the sounds are great-, but when it comes to the guitar sound it still sounds like a piano and has the same piano action on the Project 5 grid. Is there a connection problem maybe? Help!

make sure on th midid track within sonar that you have the gr33 selected to be used, it might still be using you soundcards midi. If i completely missed you quietion i apologize.
