Problems with... maybe CACHE

I am having problems with my Cakewalk 9 (and had with 8):

When i record or play a track or a wav file, sometimes (not always) the sound is breaked (well... it's different than it had to be)... but looking to the wave drawing on the COnsole View... everithing is OK... this problem happens too when i mix dow so when i convert to a wav this problems turns to real (not just the sound, but the wave drawing now is wrong...)

Does anyone knows what is that ?

what are your system specs? are you using a separate drive for your waves than the one used for your programs? how much RAM do you have? what sound card are you using? how many buffers are you using and how big are they? do you record full duplex?

Really thanks... i am at work now i can't see it but i will check and tell you... well... i reccorded without thios problems for 1 month... i think it's random !
