Notes bunched up in first measure!!!

I'm going crazy! Sometimes I can succesfully record, other times the midi sounds fine while I'm recording but nothing appears in my track view except a tiny dot of stuff, and playback yields a bunched up group of rapid notes right at the begining while other tracks play back fine.

Anybody???

If there are settings I need to adjust, please direct me to the right section of the manual. Otherwise, help, please.

Sounds like the same glitch I get from time to time with my Kawai MIDI controller. Sometimes my synthesizer (Sound Canvas) does this during playback of a .wrk file even though the notes aren't in the file. I've asked about this at the Sound Canvas Users Group and other users corroborate my findings. The difference between the Kawai or the Roland doing it is that when the Kawai does it it ends up in the file. Just use the event list to wipe the superfluous notes and try again. Usually the notes are a whole group of C's in the zeroth octave.
