MIDI input problem

whenever i start music creator 2003, it says that no MIDI inputs are selected. i don't have a midi/joystick input on my computer. could this be the problem? if it is, do i need to go out and buy a sound card with a midi/joystick input so that the MIDI will work in music creator 2003?

That is exactly the problem. But you don't need to buy a MIDI-device if you aren't planning to use MIDI... ;)

Do you plan to use it's MIDI capability? If not (eg. working on audio tracks only) then listen what moskus said :) You can check "Don't show this blah blah.." to prevent Cakewalk showing the warning message everytime it starts. You can enable it again later from Options menu.

If you use external MIDI device (keyboards, synth module, DAW controller, etc), then you need to have and install MIDI port in your system.
