How to set audio driver bit depth value

How do you set the Audio Driver Bit Depth to a new value (from default 16 to 24)? The box is gray and I couldn't enter anything.
I'm using home studio 9.

Does your soundcard support 24?

Yes my soundcard supports 24 bit. It is LynxOne.

I don't know the answer. I use a Gadgetlabs card and have no trouble with it. Have you tried Cakewalk support? Or LynxOne support?

Nevermind, I found the answer. According to Cakewalk Version 9 comparison chart, Home Studio 9 doesn't have 24bit file support.
