export audio

You don't Export MIDI :D You Save them :)

I think you have sequenced MIDI, and about want to have audio file out of it, right ?

Yes, Jaymz... any hints ?

Yes. In order to have Audio data (wave files) out of MIDI tracks, is to record the MIDI to audio first hand.

...how do I do that, Jaymz ?

Depend on your MIDI devices (synth/sampler/sound generator). If you use any DXi available, then just select the MIDI track along with it's audio DXi track, click Edit --> Bounce to track. Follow the step, and bounce it to new audio track. Repeat the procedure for all MIDI track you have. When it's done, you have all MIDI track being trasformed into audio. Mix 'em, and export to file.

...what if I use external MIDI devices, Jaymz ?

Then route audio cable from your external device's audio out, to your soundcard's Line In. Record the audio out of the device, into SONAR's audio track. There's some procedure to be considered to gain well recorded audio from external devices. For those, we can talk again latter... :)

Thank's Jaymz... :)

Anytime :)

...please consider Pre-ordering Homerecording.Comp CD's Vol 2 :)

You have to convert/record them to audio first. After that, the export function will work.

See the thread titled Cakewalk Dumb Question - it covers this same subject.
