There are a couple of Sound Font tools out there. The one I'm familiar with is Vienna Studio, which comes with the Sound Blaster Live, and is also available as a free download from Creative

spinsta1 does not rest upon "it" an essential condition of the subject, a condition that has been detached from the 'they'; "it" is rather an existentiell modification of the 'they', of the 'they' as an essential existentiale.

I was going to suggest Vienna Studio like AlChuck did, also.

But... you could check out this next site I post, as it might be able to answer some more sound font issues for you.

    I use AWAVE: http://www.fmjsoft.com/

It is a little expensive, but is dead easy (if there is a demo and I think there is, see how it does drums etc.) and converts just about any type of file to anything else (except maybe MP3s, but I'm not sure about that... but it does a lot of different sampler formats). Plus, it is pretty bulletproof.... when I made my first few soundfonts, I had some problems with another program.... on AWAVE it worked fine. But it does cost!!! Just a thought if you were planning to do a lot of them.

    Very simple.
Open Vienna click the new icon.
In the Sample Section right click User Sample Pool.
    Click on Import User Samples.
    Find the .wav you want.
Right click Instrument Pool and select New Instument.
Name it and select the sample you want for it.
In the Preset Section right click Melodic Pool and select New Melodic Preset.
Name it and select the instrument(s) you want for it.
Then save it and name what you want.

Its really easy. Don't be shy, try it a couple of times and you will be making soundfonts in no time.
I find it helpful to open premade soundfonts to see the structure of them. Try this and mess around with them, just don't save over the original SF2 file if you do.
You can import samples from other soundfonts, layer them and make some really cool soundfonts.
I have layered a jazz piano with orchastra strings and male ohhs
to make a really expressive and fun to play soundfont.

    Good Luck, A1MixMan
