    If I can get the Cakewalk Pro Audio 5.0 for about 20 bucks and the Cakewalk Pro Audio 9 sells for over 200 bucks, is there enough of a difference to justify paying the price?

    Oh yeah. What a difference 4 versions makes.
    Many more features - too many to list really. I don't even know if version five was capable of recording live digital audio.

    There is a reason that you can get 5.0 for 20$, and PA9 cost's 200+$ Check on cakewalk's site, though, they offer lower prices for upgrading (even from dos versions).
