Is Cakewalk for me?

I am new to the home brew studio game so please help. I recently bought an aardvark direct pro and was using n tracks as the digital audio recorder. I am having a million and four problems getting the two to work smoothly and predictably together. therefore I a mlooking for an allin solution to recording, effects, editing, and basic mastering. Is cakewalk the answer. It appears to be easier than cubase and require less add ons to get a good initial recording.

I just yesterday ordered the upgrade from Pro Audio 8, to Pro Audio 9, so it must be doing something I like. Download the demo.

I use Cakewalk Guitar Studio 2 and like it a lot. Easy . . plug ins . . good manual and up to 16 tracks of digital audio + 256 MIDI.
Don't know how ProAudio works but, being it's from the same vendor, they're probably similar. The only other packages I've tried and didn't like are Voyetra - Digital Orchestrator and Cool Edit Pro.

I'm sticking with CW for now.
