Hello all - I've been using an Alesis Multimix 16 USB for over a year now on my main recording computer, but have tried to hook it up to a newer machine recently. When I do so, it seems to kill any sound coming out of the speakers, which are plugged into the "normal" speaker jack on the back of the computer (i.e. not USB). When I test the speakers in the computer's control panel (I'm running Vista, FYI, yes I know it sucks), the mixer responds through the speakers but the speakers themselves do not, i.e. I can't get any playback through them. It is as if the mixer has hijacked my soundcard. Any help would be appreciated.
P.S. this occurs as long as the mixer is plugged in, even if its turned off.
