    Hi guys,

I will be doing some on location recording with an Akai 4000DS very soon. Would the best tape be RMGI LPR35 for this machine? Would a 7" reel of ATR be too thick for the transport? I would rather go with ATR, I've had funny shed issues with RMGI in the past.. Thoughts?

While on the expensive side, try this out:

..or else look for some new old stock Maxell UD on eBay.

ATR is a bit too much for your Akai.
