Wow. When I was in college, the midi lab had one. I actually have an S612 at home. I think it is fun to play with since it has sliders and knobs and it's really easy to get short little sound effects and fix a missed snare hit or something.

The manual is pure unadulterated shite, I looked up the section for formatting the scsi drive I'm using with it and the index is all to cock. Where there should be a section on formatting there's a section on how to use the onboard effects. And for anybody who owns one and still has a manual take a look at formatting the hard disk page 160. What a load of bollocks!
