Down tempo

Hey guys, I saw a video on YouTube recently where a guy took a song and slowed down the tempo to make it around 100 times slower, he did this though without altering the pitch of the original track. Does anyone have any idea how this can be done? Or indeed, whether this can be done in ableton?

Any help at all would be great.
Cheers

You can do this easily in ableton...

1. you drag the clip into the clip view window
2. select the clip, and in the "sample" pane at the bottom make sure warp is activated
3. keep hitting the *2 button to lengthen the clip... if the warp mode is NOT on re-pitch, the pitch will stay the same.

With this technique the sound can become very degraded very fast... it is a useful way to create textures etc, but can be quite radical!!
