can you record audio with this program via an instrument through a sound card kind of thing...or just use loops?

The newest version 2 actually allows you to record more than 1 track at a time, and also supports ASIO. Looks like a really cool program.
 
yeah...ive been using the live demo with reason2.5 and it can do some really cool stuff. you can really mess around with that program for hours....if i could just add some guitar stuff and maybe vocals on top that would be great. i wouldnt need to record any more than 1 or maybe 2 mono tracks at the same time.....ill have to look more into this...
i think Live is really a program that will change certain types of music a lot....its really the best thing since reason i think

You're making a general statement about a problem that may be specific to your machine.

Saying it will crash for him because it crashes for you isn't necessarily true.
 
Im running the Live demo on a windows machine and my new mac powerbook. Not coming as too much of a surprise, it crashes regularly on windows and hasn't crashed once on the mac.
