Hello, I'm new to the forum and new to home recording. I would very much appreciate some help with two problems I have having with my Zoom R8:

1) Only the left built-in microphone seems to be working.
2) When I set my Zoom R8 so that I can record my guitar playing through my amplifier with the built-in mic, if I listen as I play through headphones there is what sounds like a 'flange' effect. By this I mean, the guitar sound wavers between sounding full and sounding tinny, However, it sounds fine during playback.

I don't know if these two issues are technical faults, or the results of settings I'm unaware of.

Nor do I, but you picked an awesome legendary album for a user name so I will say I do own an H4n and, though I don't use it too often, I've never experienced "only one microphone working".. If it's brandy new I might swap it out for another just to be safe.

Cheers! It's 8 months old, haven't checked the warranty info, etc.
