Zoom R16 Review

Thanks for the link. I was seriously thinking of the Zoom R16 as a candidate, but felt that I wouldn't be using it as a Recorder much, if at all. Also, concerned about the Audio specs 16/44.1

Just before Xmas, I ordered the TASCAM M-164UF, which has better audio specs at 24/48 IN and 24/96 Out ... 16 channels of recording with onboard FX for just a tad more money than the R16. Got it last week.

It's so quiet and clean, you can't tell if it's on or off, even when having my setup very loud. It's got Sub + Stereo Outs, another advantage of the Tascam. I am using KRK Rokit 6 on the Sub and Sansui Class H amp with Pioneer Pro speakers on the Stereo. I use the Stereo for Live and when recording direct. Sub for Playback via KRK.
The Mic Preamps on the Tascam are OK, but I decided to take advantage of using my own ART Tube MP on one mic input.
