I've got one of these, but the problem is I've got other mics I've been using instead. What have you people found it good for?

The 990 is like your kid brother. You can beat it up, throw it against the wall, drag it through the mud, and it just keeps coming back for more abuse......
Rock and loud vocals, loud guitars, loud anything and it responds well. Think of it like a callous. It works well when really pushed hard. Not a sensitive sissy mic by any means.
