What's so great about the Yamaha NS10ms? I see them in almost every studio. Are they still in production? How would they match up against the Wharfedale Diamond Pro 8.2as? Thanks!
No, it's one of those Coke or Pepsi, Ford or Chevy, Windows or Mac things that tend to spiral out of control for 20 pages but never really gets resolved.
I have NS10-M's. I mix my stuff on them, then switch it over to my stereo speakers to compare the two. I get satisfactory results from my home studio. The guys that are mixing for a living complain of ear fatigue quickly. I don't have that problem, but my attention span is rather short so I'm usually doing something else after an hour or so. I have never used the Wharfedale Diamond Pro 8.2as so I can't compare the 2.
Absolutely nothing - they're over-hyped and over-rated in just about every sense.... they do work for some people, but hardly worthwhile looking into if you're just starting to get your feet wet in recording - there are far better options available now.
