What is the sound difference between a SP C1 & GT55?

Hi folks

I am planning on snapping up a GT55 from DV at £129 for vocal use (and whatever else it sounds good on). As I already have (and like) the Studio Projects C1, can anyone who has heard both give me an idication of how they differ tonally?

From the few things I have gathered so far, it seems that the 55 is a little warmer and smoother, which is exactly what I want to hear! I don't want two mics that sound the same!!

I will take a listen before i buy, but don't want to make the 20 mile trip without some preparation and expectation!

Also, does anyone know the self noise of the 55?

I don't know... but, if it was only a 20 mile trip you should be back by now... so, what's the difference? Thanks.
