I’m trying to record guitars and drums acoustically and save each track individually. I’m using a Behringer X1832 sound board with a USB input to FL 10 on my pc. I don’t know why I’m having such a hard time. What is the best way to record a individual instrument track and save it? Song Name Lead, Song Name Bass, Song Name Drums, etc…
I’ve watched several videos and most deal with techno stuff that is not relevant to what I’m trying to do. It should be as easy as; set up, press record, record track, trim, name it, place it in folder… repeat
Remember what it was like when you first learned? As remedial and basic as necessary. Links or step by step. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

I would first suggest going with a DAW that is made for recording audio. From my experience with FL 10 (my son uses it for club type music), it is not the best suited to recording of actual instruments.

Reaper would be a better option for getting what you want IMO.

The Behri mixer you have is only going to give you 2 possible independent tracks to any DAW. This is going to limit you from the start.

You should give a bit more info as to what it is you are wanting to achieve. We are here to help. :)

Thanks for your response, Here is the answer I was looking for:

go to the mixer. set up your input. insert an instance of Edison.

tick "record on input", hit record button and start playing. (don’t forget to rise the digit in that box if you want to record more minutes than displayed "MAX")

edit to your likes. save (third from the right, disc icon with a "+")

As far as DAW, I will move over to Ableton Live when its in the budget. I feel FL Studio is adequate for putting together a couple demos. There are more features than I will ever use, but I don’t think its lacking anything I need?

Sounds like your program is missing a logical and intuitive workflow....

That is exactly what I found. Not a DAW for those that wish for ease of/smooth flow...
