Here is my setup to get that out of the way.
Tascam US122
Digitech GNX3000
Laptop PC - 1GB Ram, 2.4MHz
Zoom HD8CD
Software
Cubase LE
Reaper
Acid Pro
Audacity
Ok here's the problem...
It seems whatever method, hardware, software I use to record I am getting strange anomalies in my mixdowns. Lately the bass on one song is all warbly and warped sounding. I get occasional clicks as well. In the native software or on the Zoom - no issues. It happens with both mp3 and wav mixdowns. My latest effort with the bass problem I used bass -> us122 -> computer -> Cubase. I only added a bit of compression to the bass and a little EQ.
Initially I thought it was the conversion to MP3, but now I hear it on a wav from the same session. I am stumped
