Hi!I have a 1212M soundcard and i want to record guitar through a Behringer DI100 box and use an amp simulator to my PC.But i also want to use wah effect. Is there any midi expresion pedal controller to use the amp simulator'a wah or can i use a wah pedal, like a crybaby i'd like to buy, connected from my guitar to the DI and then to the soundcard's input? Will it sound good(normal)?

A Crybaby would work great. I think that a lot of songs that incorporate a wah sound use a physical wah pedal rather than using a software simulator. The Red Hot Chili Peppers have done it for years ;) Doing a simulated wah is an option, but it'll probably be easier to just get a real wah and it'll sound just as good.

Using a real Wah is easy enough but you have to experiment a bit to get the tone right etc. ALSO, going from any effect straight in can sound very unrealistic.
I recorded a wah track last week but had to:
a) pump up the signal going into the wah from the guitar because the PU output isn't great (used a booster) & because the WAH will wash away a fair bit of signal when it sweeps to the high end &
b) used a preamp after the wah instead of a DI because of a) again
&
c) EQarve some space in the song amongst the otehr instruments/tracks so that the wah could be heard distinctly.
I used a Dunlop Jimi Hendrix Cry Baby which sounds great but does suck power from the signal.
The auto wah VSTs & effects I have are based on maths & other peoples ideas not when I want it to cry.
