vtb-1 and ark 24/96

I have the ark 24/96 and record my vocals mainly with a C-1. I am thinking about the vtb-1 mic pre. and wondering how much improvement I could expect with the vtb-1 pre over those in the ark 24/96. I think the ark pres are good but thought I might like the color of the vtb-1 pre.

Any thoughts on this subject.
