i know large diaphragm microphones are the way to go for vocals, but say you only have a SM81, can you expect pretty decent results fromthis mic on vocals?
Sure! it's easy to moan about the gear we don't have,but in most cases,it's preety amazing what we can do with the gear we have. I did a demo,We used the best mic we had for the vocals we had, a shure BG4.1,Probably similar to yours,it worked fine
