I'm all about weird ways of recording. Where in my house can I get good Vocals. I thought my closet might work. I need something close in. Without all the extra space.

If you record in a closet it will sound like ... you're in a closet.

I sense that you're wanting the "vocal booth" sound - very dry, without room ambience. A closet will work for that if you work to deaden reflections.

Oddly enough, if you really want the "no-room" sound, you would record outside or in a very large dead room.

Thanks man. Oddly I thought my bathroom would work for vocals. haha.

:D

We had that same ambition when doing some vocal overdubs for our demo.
They were recorded in a small damp sounding basement room. We thought it would be good.

It wasn't. It sounded like a damp basement room. The natural reverb of the room did not help the recording.

fill the closet with clothes and sing into the closet.

(hanging clothes)

This'll work, or the other option is to hang a few blankets or sleeping bags in a semi circle and do the same.
