Hi,
My band is recording a demo... basically we need it done in 3 days...
Tonight we tracked the drums bass and guitar... already sounds pretty good, even though we tracked my drums using 3 bad mics, going into one mono track.
1) What's the best way to mix down (bounce?) he final track? Does File>Bounce take into account all faders, Mute switches etc?

2) How do I make precise adjustments to audio tracks? Is it possible to use the arrow keys, or do I have to drag?

3) How do make a certain part of a song louder or quieter? I assume this is automation, and to be honest, I haven't read up about this one in the manual. I know how it's done in ProTools... but it doesn't seem doable in Logic.

Thanks so much for any help

1) Yes, When you bounce the track it will not bounce the tracks that are muted. If something is solo'ed then that is the only track it will bounce.

2) If you are trying to move the audio track left and right you can zoom WAY WAY in for finite adjustments.

3)Yes, you can do automation in logic. I don't have it up, but I think it is in the view tab.

Laterz

In the View tab turn on Track Automation.
you need to be zoomed a bit in in your arrange window to see the automation but you select pameters in the track base on the left.
The automation itself is done in the arrange window with a line representing your paramter. Add point with left click and move them around to your liking - remove point with ctrl-left click.
You can also drag busses from your audiomixer window into empty tracks in the arrange window and automate the bus settings then.
Theres also automation for most plug-ins on the track availiable this way.
