There is no more new songs to be recorded ... Ever!

A few of the summer festivals that I provide sound support for have been approached by these legal mafia organizations and even though these are all original music bands the venues are being hit up hard for BIG money that collect and pay artist for there songs being played.
Their reasoning -
All new original music is being influenced by all of the music that has already been recorded.
So in essence THERE IS AND NEVER WILL BE ANY NEW MUSIC WRITTEN AND RECORDED.
 
What if we came up with a new musical scale of notes which don't follow the current one?

That alone would produce completely fresh and original material.

It's been done before, they'd come and charge you for the idea of dividing the frequencies up differently.
 
Yup. The worst part is that even if I just made a track where I just screamed random things, some freak out there would probably try to sue me if he heard about my track lol
