Any mic-surgeons here with tips how to fix the most common problems with microphones?

'Cause actually my 58beta's got a *little* problem: it stopped working from the first to the other moment.

When kicking the gain up extremely and ticking at the side of the mic (at some weird little iron cable after removing the windscreen) I only hear a very little bit.

When it could be just a simple repair (soldering some broken cables or so) I'd prefer to do that rather than bringing it to the store. Thanks!

Man that sucks!

I'd say take it back if you haven't had it for very long. Just tell them it's cutting out. As long as you haven't tried to use it as a baseball bat, they should take it back.

If you've had it for a while, check if ya see any bad solder joints, loose wires and have at it.

The first problem is I had it just for 2 days..
The second is that I bought it second-hand from a guy I do not have an adress or something from left.

Blame me, I know..
