Terratec EWX24/96

Hi folks! I recently purchased a new Terratec EWX24/96 to use it for HD Rec. and playing Gigasamples. This piece of
Hardware-sh.. drives me nuts. You can hear Gigasamples only with additional noise like crackles and clips, sampling with Cubase is a mess, the Volume between diff. channels varies from time to time, you can't use Gigasampler and Cubase. The Terratec "support" just asked me 10 times if my system is well configured ( IRQ-problem, Ha,Ha,Ha !)Am i the only stupid who bought that Terratec garbage ? Does anyone have similar exp. and can help ?

Hey Freiburg have you got any further info on this card - nobody obviously had any info on this site for you. I was just about to order this card and I thought I would check this site out for info on it. After what you have to say about it, I think I'm leaning on spending a little more and getting probably the Audiophile. I've been researching and it sounds like the Audiophile is the best quality for the money. It seems to be the card that breaks the barrior between cheesy inexpensive and pro expensive cards.

works fine for me

I have been using the EWX24/96 card on different systems (PIII and AMD based) and I always got superb recording quality. I am using WaveLab Lite as recording software and so far I have never had any glitches.

Terratec support is not the best around but I would take the IRQ thing seriously.

Since I do not use any elements of your hard- and software environment I cannot help with that specifically. I just wanted to throw in a good word for the EWX24/96...
