I can't check on monitors right now, but those sound very very very good. Whoever's singing gets an extra pat on the back.

I'm not a mastering engineer, but if I were, I'd tell you not to do anything to it after you mixdown. Leave some headroom, don't screw with the multiband or the limiter, and let him do his thing.

Oh, the toms might need a highpass on "Homestead." On extreme smileyface EQ settings, they're popping out a bit.

Nice nice job.

Listening to the first one "Whole Lotta" right now. The tune sounds tight. Everything sounds real together. A little too much treble in the geetars for me. Drums sound good. I like when you can hear what the singer is saying in Metal tunes, great job. Nice little solo too.

"Spread the Word"...

I like the intro. Guitars sound a lot better in this one as far a tone to me. Great riff. Way tight. Excellent Metal. I am so tired of listening to bad metal and I swear I was ready to sling poo just for being metal, but this is nice. The snare on this tune is a little subdued and too smooshy, but still the drumming is tight.

"Homestead":

Another good intro. Another nice thing is that you can tell the tunes apart. They don't all sound the same. Tight again.

I'm out of time, but man you should be very happy with that stuff. Thanks very much for the listen.

Nice. One word summary, lol. Recordings are pretty well done, but I think the drums could benefit from some gating and a bit more focused EQ. Mastering will improve the overall punch of everything, but the mixes are deffinately releasable material. I'm downloading an MP3 and I'll do a test "master" from that to show you what I mean. Good work.

thanks guys, that's a lot of help!

producerkid, look forward to hearing your test master!

Did you even CONSIDER listening to this guy's stuff? Or is it just all about you?

Hey SittinIdol. I'm at work right now so I can't comment on the mix, but I can tell you that I think these are some great songs. :) Excellent songwriting ! Love the intro on The Current, Homestead and Spread the Word..

This reminds me alot of a guy up in Canada that was with a band called Big Wreck.

How was this done ? In a studio ?

Man I'd buy this CD. :)

Thanks for posting !

Hey man! Thanks a lot, if you like the band check some more tunes out at http://www.sittinidol.com

The songs were recorded at our own "studio" i.e. the basement where we jam. I have been spending a lot of time on mixing them lately, probably more than shows by the finished product. Just experimenting with different things to see what works.

We're canadian too, by the way...
Cheers
