Is anyone familiar with T-racks plug ins ? good / bad anything better ?
Thanks

This one really is worthy of a search--theres lots discussion about T-Racks, some fairly recent.

Yup reading search results now most say it's cpu hungry and just a toy I'll look for massive. is it current?

OK I've read all the post and sounds good, I understand it all. Pretty much gotta use it sparingly as a post polisher, but maybe not if what is being recorded is exultantly captured in the first place. thank you

It's only as dangerous as the guy using it.

By no means a "wonder tool" and by no means a "POS" if you know what you're listening for.

very good limiter if youre talking about the singles..and the other have pretty colours

Ya it's a whole package of T-rack stuff just loaded them in, got the package from a band that records at the studio here frequently they won the package in a battle of the bands and had no use for it, gave it to us. We usually go back out of pro tools to analog processing so it's kinda new. I'll fool around and play with them for a while it all looks kinda cool.

Whether it's home stereos, multichannel entertainment systems, video gear, microphone lockers, pots & pans or the tools in your garage, the story is always the same. Integrated/bundled packages are designed for price and convenience, not for quality of the individual pieces. T-Racks fits that description pretty well. Supposedly the latest version (4?) is rather improved over earlier versions, but I'd still say get it if you want no-brainer convenience, but don't expect to get commercial quality performance out of it.

Thanks that really sum it up nicely, I'll check on the version and the quality seem some what good better than what pro tools gives you but no why close to out board pro rack gear.

I used T-racks for about a year and the way Glen summed it up summarizes my feelings exactly.

If you're creative you can get some good use out of it. But for mastering its mostly going to destroy anything you've done. Just for fun slap on the "loud and clear" mastering preset, some of those are just plain hilarious.

Ok I'll try the loud and clear I'm always up for a good laugh.
For mastering I'll still stick with out board gear etc.
