Current set-up
Nuendo -> Tascam US-428 -> Yamaha A100a -> Tannoy passive monitors.

I like to switch the Tannoys with active Adam monitors. I never used active speakers before so a couple of stupid questions.
- What kind of cables do I need, please be really specific, include a link from this site please: thomann.de.

- Do I get rid of the A100a or is it still possible to hook them up to a powered amp...?

here's a pic of the Adam back

1. What are the outputs on your inteface? You should be able to use XLR or RCA cables to connect the monitors unless your interface uses 1/4 inch output jacks in which case you would want 1/4 to XLR or 1/4 to RCA.

2. If I understand your question correctly, I think you are asking if you can use the A100a with the powered monitors? I don't think you would want to do that. It could be harmful to the monitors and the monitors already have power amps inside them.

Perfect answer, thanks a lot.
I wanted to keep the power amp so that i have an extra headhone output but indeed, they would blow up my active speakers.
